The city of Atlanta, Keep Atlanta Beautiful and the Beltline Partnership have organized Atlanta's first-ever ARMS AROUND ATLANTA EARTH DAY CELEBRATION AND ORGANIC FARMER'S MARKET Sun., APRIL 22. The goal: to collect at least 10,000 tires, 6,000 bags of litter and 40,000 pounds of electronic waste in neighborhoods and parks around the city's envisioned 22-mile Beltine. At Grant Park, local growers stock an organic farmer's market and offer insight on sustainability, while local bands and dance troupes perform for the Earth-friendly masses.
