ALBERTA ADAMS -- Hailing from Detroit, Adams toured in the '40s and '50s with the likes of Roy Eldridge and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, and recorded now-prized sides for Chess Records. Four marriages, three children and three stepchildren later, Adams has returned to record two CDs for the recently defunct Cannonball Records.
