What was your reaction to the John Rocker trade?

I was getting out of the shower and I'm like 'praise the lord.' I won't have to hope the Braves lose when he's pitching anymore. That was a horrible way to feel, but every time he pitched I enjoyed seeing him get hurt. It was difficult because I've been a season ticket holder for nine years. It was disappointing that one person could turn my opinion around that way. I can cheer for the Braves now without any reservations. I wished it happened a year ago.

The headline said John Rocker was out. We thought he came out of the closet. I'm sure everybody in Macon is real proud of him, and everybody in Cleveland, where he belongs, will be real proud of him, too. But hey, look what we got in the trade. We won on Saturday. We love the Braves and now won't have to boo. John's young. Maybe he'll grow up. He'll do well in Cleveland. It's that kind of a city. Cleveland's a hateful city; he's a hateful person.

It was a bad trade. I wish everybody could have gotten past that because he's really a good player. I rooted for him. We've had Braves who have had drug problems and the like. It shows they're human. I wish him luck. I think he's learned a lot from this. I was mad at the beginning but I realized where he came from and probably what he was taught. I know a lot of people like that

who are my friends now.
