Where's the colonel when we need him?

Music

Big Mike Geier and his cronies have been feasting at the Elvis trough semi-annually for about seven years now and the serving tray keeps getting bigger and bigger. This year's ELVIS DEATH DAY MEMORIAL extravaganza moves to the spacious Variety Playhouse, and as usual features Kingsized and the tarty Dames A'flame dance troupe. Since the true anniversary of the King's alleged passing is on an uncool Tuesday, the gang will throw down on Sat., Aug. 13. The night will be filled with the band's usual great delivery of Elvis tunes, but will it bring him back? $12-$15. 9 p.m. Variety Playhouse. 1099 Euclid Ave. 404-524-7354. www.variety-playhouse.com.
