Bryan-Michael Cox judges Making the Band 4

CL hasn’t shown much love to Bryan-Michael Cox, but it isn’t because we don’t recognize what he’s accomplished. There are so many songwriters, singers, rappers, bands, session musicians, industry executives and random celebrities in the ATL that it’s hard to cover them all. But he’s slowly building a resume of hits, ranging from Bow Wow’s “Like You” and Mary J. Blige’s Grammy-winning “Be Without You” (a co-write with Johnta Austin) to Jermaine Dupri’s “Welcome to Atlanta” and Usher’s “Confessions.”

It wasn’t Cox’s many accomplishments that led me to blog about him, however, but his appearance as a judge on MTV’s “Making the Band 4.” You’ll find him among several judges/mentors, including Michael Bivins of New Edition fame, and Joe, who will help P. Diddy assemble his latest prefab gimmick — uh, I mean, R&B group. Cox didn’t have much to say, though. I assume he’ll get more camera time as the series unravels.

And oh yeah, welcome to Crib Notes, y’all!
