From the late ’80s and well into the ’90s, the Athens, Ga.-based rockabilly twosome Flat Duo Jets carved a path through the golden age of Athens’ music scene with primitive and unrivaled rock and roll intensity. Made up of guitarist Dexter Romweber and drummer Crow, the group’s fiery revival of early rockabilly came to prominence after being featured in director Tony Gayton’s 1986 documentary film, Athens, Ga. - Inside/Out.

A decade after the group signed a major label deal with Outpost Records – and has since remained largely inactive– Chicken Ranch released the soundtrack to Two Headed Cow, which contains seventeen unreleased tracks recorded in 1986.

Two Headed Cow traces the evolution of Flat Duo Jets, from the group’s formative years up to its ultimate demise in ’98, and what Romweber has been up to ever since. The film features appearances from Cat Power’s Chan Marshall, Jack White of the White Stripes, Neko Case, Exene Cervenka of X and many others.
