Music news Thursday Night Freakout tonight!

For this week's Thursday Night Freakout at The Star Bar Ominous Castle, Baby Dinosaurs, the Hat Company and Lesbian Afternoon converge for an evening of fringe rock and pop experimentation.
Lesbian Afternoon main man Mike Koenig recently dropped off a copy of his latest self-released 7-inch and I have to say that it is one of the more remarkable, and unclassifiable, records to land on my desk in quite some time.
Though his website makes the claim that LA is meant for fans of For fans of My Bloody Valentine, Pavement, Ween, Polvo, Beck & quiet walks on the beach, there is a certain sense of Southern charm / Faulknerian weirdness going with his songs that takes precedence over everything else.
I would say go to his myspace page and give it a listen, but there aren't any songs there right now. So better yet, check out this video for "Shoegaze Bridge."
