It has been almost six years since Athens' songwriter Bain Mattox released his last album, Technicolor Episode. These days he fronts a new band that goes by the name, Shot from Guns. Mattox and Co. recently unveiled a new website at www.shotfromguns.com, which comes with a nifty little feature of offering one new song each month for an entire year. The band records a song, and then makes it available the following month as a download.

Interested parties have two options for obtaining the songs. First, they can subscribe to the monthly series, or secondly they can buy the song one at a time.

For a yearly subscription cost of $19.99, you get all 12 new songs as they are released, various demos, b-sides, live recordings, other downloads (such as lyrics) and a 10% discount off of any other purchases on this site. You'll also get exclusive access to a member only message board on this site.

The first single in the series, "Horns and Halos" is available for purchase through the site.
