Music news Donnie McCormick will miss his tribute tonight at Northside Tavern

The Atlanta City Council has proclaimed October 30 as Donnie McCormick Day. But the AJC reports the southern rock/blues singer and leader of the band Eric Quincy Tate is too ill to make his 64th birthday celebration tonight at Northside Tavern.

I would like to express my dear sorrow for the loss of Donnie Mccormick of Eric Quincey Tate. I knew him personally for 35 years. He was and ungodly musician, wonderful husband, loving father and upmost a great friend. God bless his faimly he will surley be missed.
