Music news Thomas Function plays 529 tonight (Mon., Jan. 19th)

Huntsville, Alabama's Thomas Function returns to Atlanta to play a show at 529 this evening. The group takes the best parts of soul, garage rock, punk, gospel music and shoegazer sounds and wraps them up into one big and dirty Southern pop jam. The North Trolls, Twin Thunder and the inimitable Abby Go Go also perform. $5. 9 p.m. 529 Flat Shoals Rd. 404-228-6769
