Valerie Culkin - Booking - Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge

My Mixtape

1.  The Kinks - "Yes Sir, No Sir"

2.  Buena Vista Social Club - "Chan Chan"

3.  Don Chambers - "Back in the Woods"

4.  Fleet Foxes - "Tiger Mountain Song"

5.  Weezer - "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived"

6.  Bruce Springsteen - "Hungry Heart"

7.  Animal Collective - "My Girls"

8.  Built to Spill - "Liar"

9.  Death Cab for Cutie - "Someday You Will Be Loved"

10.  Bob Dylan - "The Times They Are A Changin'"

My favorite local act is Howlies.  This trio originally from Florida just played the Ballroom for Fringe Factory last month.  I'd never heard them before and was completely blown away.  These guys have so much energy and you could tell they were having the time of their life. It's so refreshing to see a straight up rock band who seems so genuine about the music they are playing and I felt kinda like I was watching them back in the early '60's, when rock n' roll was a pure and a fun thing to do. I wouldn't be surprised if these guys took their project very far.
