Ben H. Allen is currently producing The Whigs new album in his (and the groups) hometown of Athens, GA. After recording and mixing the Whigs, Ben is headed to NYC to work with Animal Collective. If you cant wait to hear new music from Ben, check out Kate Earls recently released EP, Introducing Kate Earl. Bens project The Constellations, is currently on tour and getting huge airplay in Atlanta, Minneapolis and additional markets and the song Felicia is the #1 most requested song on Atlantas 99X.Mac Attkisson is working with super producer Bangladesh on several high profile projects, including Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, Leona Lewis, Usher, Ludacris and Juvenile.
Mark Exit Goodchild left Atlanta with Akon to do some recording on the road covering lots of ground in the tour bus! Before he went on tour, Exit was busy mixing, including new music from Akon and T Pain, Sean Kingston, Nina Sky feat. Pit Bull and Flo Rida, Aventura, Twista and David Guetta.
Rehab band member and Milk Money producer Mike Hartnett had a great trip up to Nashville for the CMT video awards. Rehab was nominated in the category Wide Open Country Video of the Year. Since finalizing his publishing deal with Kobalt Music, the Rehab guitarist has been spending time in Nashville writing. Next up, hes back on the road with Rehab and out to LA to work with Polow Da Don.
Speaking of Nashville, Carlton Lynn is working at Ocean Way with new Universal/SRC recording artist Sera B., both tracking and mixing her upcoming EP. Before heading to Nashville, Carlton was engineering new music from David Guetta and UK artist Pixie, as well as engineering for Bangladesh on Juveniles new project.
Karl Heilbron has been working marathon sessions with Young Jeezy, including new songs featuring Lil Wayne and production from Kanye West. While the album isnt finished, the mixtape, Trappin Aint Dead, is currently available for download. Karl also mixed Boosies new single, Better Believe It featuring Webbie and Jeezy.
Graham Marsh is currently honeymooning in Thailand, but before he left Graham and Cee Lo were putting in overtime to finish Los project, including sessions with Ludacris and the B-52s. Graham also put in some stellar production work with Atlanta artists The Selmanaires and Falcon Lords here at Maze Studios.
Imagine a musician so versatile hes touring with Elliot Yamin one week and doing session work with Felix Da Housecat the next; that musician is the one and only Tony Reyes. Tonys currently in Nashville working on Sera B.s project. Hes also been busy in the studio with Amerie, Asher Roth, BC Jean (RCA) and London (Universal/SRC).
Also on the road this month: Paul Sheehy, working in Miami with Flo Rida on new music for Christina Aguilera, then back to Atlanta for Akon sessions for a theme song for soccers World Cup. Pauls also been busy mixing for dead prez new project and engineering for artist/producer Novel.
Sam Thomas engineered for producer Alex da Kidd on new music for Rihanna, and currently mixing Adrienne Bailon (3LW), J. Beiber and new R&B group From Above with Bryan Michael Cox.
Miles Walker rebounded from serious food poisoning to rock sessions with Sean Garrett including Usher, Trey Songz, Amerie, Mario, Fantasia and Juvenile. Miles also mixed several songs for new Universal artists London and David Young Boss Rush.
Vernon Mungo has been engineering for Usher, Usher protégé Justin Beiber, up and coming producers Band Camp, and an Amerie duet with Trey Songz.
Rob Skipworth held down sessions with Usher and the Clutch, producer Bigg D (Rick Ross), Justin Beiber and Bobby Valentino.
