After a dramatic display of disregard for anybody other than Beyonce, Kayne West has alienated the large fan base he previously enjoyed.

When asked for comment regarding his behavior Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, he had this to say, “It was wrong. I shouldn’t have done that. But in my defense, I am the new king of pop. I am all things pop. And this award, best video of the year for a female artist, is kind of pop related. It was only fitting that I give my pop opinion. I mean, I am the king of pop. Come on! Y’all made me the king of pop. Y’all buy my records. Y’all want to hear what I have to say. It was my pop duty.” That was his defense.

This reporter went out to his favorite, new Supreme Court Judge to see how that defense would stand up in a court of law.

Sonia Sotomayor was enjoying her first peaceful month since being confirmed to the Supreme Court when I abruptly interrupted her morning iced Cappuccino at a favorite DC coffee shop.

When asked if his argument would hold up in a court of law, she replied, “Well, he does have a point. I mean, somebody out there is buying his records. Somebody is buying those pieces of shits. Who? This wise Latino does not know. But somebody is. I mean, it says right here on his Wikipedia page, he has three consecutive No. 1 albums. Wait, did that say three? Holy shit!”

Three, indeed. Pieces of shits, indeed.

“Is it really a surprise though? Every time he gets near a microphone, something terrible comes out.”

When asked if she was referring to his comment about George Bush not caring about black people during a 2005 benefit concert to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina victims, his 2006 comments claiming he would have a real problem if he did not win album of the year (which he did not — mo’ albums, mo’ problems, I guess), or his tantrum again in 2006 when he did not win MTV Europe Music Awards best video award, Sotomayor replied, “What? He did it again? No, no. I was referring to the times he had a microphone in a recording studio. I mean, have you heard his music?”

Wise Latino is right.
