On Wed., Dec. 2, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame's authority board approved an amended budget that will allow the Hall to continue operating until Wed., June 30, 2010 which will mark the end of it's fiscal year.
The HOF authority also voted unanimously to work towards creating a $15 million endowment fund through a combination of both private and partnerships to help keep the Hall open at its current location near downtown Macon.
The Georgia Music Hall of Fame has amassed relics of the states rich musical history, but not the crowds those relics warrant and needs to keep its doors open. Earlier this year the authority board that oversees the HOF proclaimed that if the museum wasnt on its way to raising $225,000 by October, it would possibly have to closed it's doors by Dec. 31.
