Waka Flocka Flame shot

No, that wasn't my Tourette's acting up. Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame was shot Tuesday (January 19) while washing his car at Bubble Bath Car Wash off of Old National Highway.

According to MTV:

Flocka (real name: Juaquin Malphurs) suffered a gunshot wound to the arm as he was stopped at a carwash on National Highway. He was rushed to nearby Grady Hospital. A spokesperson for his record company said Flame will be fine.

Fulton County police say that a man approached Flocka, demanded his jewelery, started fighting with Malphurs and eventually fired upon him. After the gunfire, the suspect took off.

Flocka, best known for his radio mainstay, "O Lets Do It," is a part of Gucci Mane's Brick Squad group and signed to Gucci's So Icey Entertainment. The song has taken on a life of its own with remix verses from Trae Tha Truth, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, proving the addage that you're no one until someone more famous than you takes your song and records over you.
