Kai Alce keeps it trill

Surely Kai Alce could have left Atlanta by now. He helped create the house music scene in the city and has a decade-long discography, yet he’s still showing up all over town to keep the dance floor sweaty. His latest release, on Detroit’s FXHE Records and Kai’s own NDATL imprint, is all summertime drums and tumbling bass lines, with just enough depth to keep the party going past last call. Apparently going punk rock with the seven-inch format wasn’t enough, so Kai called the track “Dirty South Dirt” as if it was some mixtape you bought at South Dekalb Mall. Check out Kai’s website, which he reports is slated for a redesign, at www.ndatl.com.
