San Francisco fuzzniks The Fresh & Onlys are currently touring in support of their great new EP on Captured Tracks, August in My Mind (CL review). They’ll pass through Atlanta this Saturday, when they share the EARL stage with King Khan and the Shrines.
In an interview with Atlanta Music Guide, the band’s bassist Shayde Sartin makes it known that Atlanta is his favorite city in the country - “well, after San Fran.” Then he drops this glistening truth nugget:
Where do you hang out when you’re here?
I always go to Eats first thing. I love Eats. MJQ, 529, Star Bar. You know, places you’d expect. I’m a fucking white guy in my early 30s. I’ve been playing rock and roll music for 15 years; I do pretty standard shit. Not a lot of curve balls from me.
