Guess who's ready to re-enter society? Vibe reports that Radric "Gucci Mane" Davis is set to be released from the Fulton County Jail next Wednesday, May 12.
Back in November, Davis was sentenced to a maximum 12 months in the pen for violating his probation relating to a 2005 assault charge. Initial reports suggested he would serve half that; it's now been six months. Time flies when you're locked up! Well, probably not, actually.
With his release from jail comes a shakeup in his professional life:
according to the Vibe article, Davis recently fired his manager, Debra Antney, who, as noted in CL, has repeatedly come under fire for what can only be called shady business practices. Gucci has also made official his new record label, 107 Brick Squad; its initial signees are reported to be young Atlanta guns Waka Flocka Flame and OJ Da Juiceman.
Welcome back, Gooch!
Beck and Alabama Shakes...that's about it. I'm sure there's an unknown or two I would…
Well, this years Music Midtown sucks!
I'm pretty sure he was 19.
3 people apparently love handing over an extra 40% in fees for nothing in return…
Dang. I thought they would name some actual headliners.
Forgot to mention that Iggy did a stellar show @ the Agora in the spring…
