Fri.-Sat., May 14-15 — Dream Syndicate founding member Steve Wynn rekindles two seminal albums of paisley sturm and dang from the early ’80s for a two-night stand. On Fri. May, 14 Wynn, along with his band the Miracle 3, featuring Linda Pitmon (drums, vocals), Jason Victor (guitar) and Dave DeCastro (bass) play 1984’s Medicine Show. On Sat., May 15 the group returns to play it’s 1982 debut, The Days of Wine and Roses. Local country act the Meeks Family opens on Fri. Fri., May 14 — With his latest album, Similes, Eluvium’s Matthew Cooper writes and arranges breezy, starry-eyed minimal dream-pop that’s cut from the same cloth as modern classical/electronic composers Vangelis, Phillip Glass and even Brian Eno from time to time. Brooklyn, N.Y.-based experimental composer Julianna Barwick and Atlanta’s Duet for Theremin & Lap steel also perform. $10. 9:30 p.m. The Earl. 404-522-3950.
