Go. Cop. That.
And feel free to weigh in on the ongoing debate over the pixie princess' pop potential. Here's a sampling of comments from last week's cover story: The ArchAndroid casts Janelle Monae phantom of the popera

I think Janelle Monae has a lot of potential. She's very attractive, has a great voice, she's willing to experiment with new songs.
However, her biggest flaw is that her label or management, whoever, has not encouraged her to revamp her image. She has a look that can be reinvented and changed with each new musical project/experiment. She's not really capitalizing on that. How many more times are we going to look at the weird black chick with the Elvis Presley do who wears tacky suits? That shit only flies for so long.

So the biggest flaw with a musical artist is the fact that their fashion doesn't come before their music???
If that's your argument then I'll just have to suggest you look a bit deeper and find out what music really means to you.
"managent should tell her to wear something different"
that just sounds silly even typing it.
I'd rather focus on Janelle's music any day.
And I think that's how shed like it as well.
I'm really looking forward to the album. It sounds like it will be amazing.

I absolutely love her. Her voice, her image, her whole aura. She dares to be different and still remains true to herself. I love the fact that despite those who feel as if her image is contrived and "tacky" she STILL continues to be who she wants to be.
Selfishly, I don't want to share her with the mainstream. They tend to attack the unconventional and compare them to the conformed. I don't want her to go through that. Yeah, there's not too much money behind the underground scene, but there's MAD respect, admiration, and loyalty. And I have faith that those that support her will help her get to where she wants to be...

Yes, 14 is the correct answer. I'll pass your info along to the group's manager,…
