No need to sneak into the neighboring apartment complex's pool this Memorial Day weekend. Elevate courtesy of CaZ (DJs Mike Zarin and Chris Nicholson), 4Deep and SouthCity Productions kicks off the season this Sunday at the W downtown (45 Ivan Allen Blvd.), from 1-10 p.m.
Apparently the weekly event drew quite the crowd all last summer, with the otherworldly view of the city from the W's 16th floor rooftop pool, groovy house music, and specialty fruit infusion cocktails.
Elevate's first installment for 2010 features music by Wiseacre, a house DJ out of L.A. who can definitely hold his own at the deepest of house music parties, let alone a poolside session. You'll have to dip in the pool to cool down, for sure.
You can RSVP for free entry at www.elevateatl.com, or pay $10 (cash only). Don't forget to save a few bucks for parking. Memberships are available ($50), and include bar discounts and quicker entry. And for all you who incessantly complain about smokers, you'll be happy that Elevate is a non-smoking event. To top it all off, you can nab a hotel room discount for the long weekend ($109/night).
Beck and Alabama Shakes...that's about it. I'm sure there's an unknown or two I would…
Well, this years Music Midtown sucks!
I'm pretty sure he was 19.
3 people apparently love handing over an extra 40% in fees for nothing in return…
Dang. I thought they would name some actual headliners.
Forgot to mention that Iggy did a stellar show @ the Agora in the spring…
