Soulja Boy and Justin Bieber want to ruin your day

The unlikely duo team up to wax poetic about a Rich Girl”“

?
Well, this is just awful news. It seems Atlanta bubblegum (w)rapper Soulja Boy and Canadian whozit Justin “The Biebs” Bieber have teamed up to produce a slice of truly terrible tween-baiting mall pop. The offending anthem is entitled “Rich Girl” (it’s not a Hall & Oates cover, though I wish it were), and listening to it will hurt your brain. Seriously, this song has zero personality. This is one lazy-ass slice of Pro Tooled nonsense from a couple of the pro-est tools around.

Soulja Boy has never been the most compelling rapper, but, Christ, Ben Stein would have brought more energy to “Rich Girl.” Soulja is just pathetic, sleepwalking his way through vague references to young, moneyed women and the cars they drive. He even drops this stinkbomb: “And I know you rich/ And you know I’m rich/ So together we filthy.” That sound you just heard was me shuddering uncontrollably.

And now it’s stuck in your head. Happy Friday!
