The Oracular Spectacular Adventures of Bobby Ray

Posted By on Mon, May 31, 2010 at 4:35 PM

B.o.B. dropped by the BBC's Radio 1 studio this week and recorded a cover of MGMT's 2008 hit, "Kids." Bobby Ray's version doesn't stray too far from the original, but somehow his buttery voice and the occasional ad-libbed "heys" inject a certain freshness into the track. Above, watch the track performed live at London's King College, the same day as the studio session, May 27th. Oddly enough, the show was just a couple days past the original May 25th release date for Bobby's album (remember the mixtape?). This all begs the question: How did a hip hop album get released ahead of schedule??
