Atlanta Music Guide reports that longtime radio personality Leslie Fram has been nominated for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
Fram is best known in Atlanta for her work as 99X's program director, and for co-hosting that station's morning program for many years. She currently co-hosts "The Rock Show" with former MTV dude Matt Pinfield on New York City's 101.9 RXP.
If inducted into the NRHOF, Fram would be in very exclusive company (Rush Limbaugh! Neal Boortz!). No, but seriously, it's a pretty big deal.
Also nominated this year are notorious shock jock Howard Stern and NPR's Carl Kasell, among others. You can vote by visiting the website. Voting ends August 1.

Leslie should ask her listeners to vote for Luther Masingill in the category in which they're nominated. He holds the world record for longest-running broadcaster ever, and even at the same time & station (mornings, WDEF Chattanooga) since 1941! He's very deserving. Leslie can wait.
What is she nominated for? She was ok as a program director, but she sucked on the various iterations of their morning show.
Yeah, she was pretty unbearable on the "Don Miller" show or whatever Fred Toucher and Jimmy Baron did. A nice lady, but her on-air presence was as compelling as the sound of a draining bathtub.
What still to this day amazes me, is that no matter what kind of adversity Leslie Fram faces, she remains the most humble and graceful human being I have ever met. She has spent her entire career, working non stop, and continuously driving forward. The most amazing thing about this voting process is the amount of established musicians, who are voting for Leslie....she really has touched everyone she has ever encountered, and truly deserves this amazing honor...It takes a very special person, to look past those, who can only hide behind their words, and walk past them with her reputable actions. I am so excited for her.
