This Saturday, Red Stripe's Mid Summer Music Festival (don't click unless you love hearing Bob Marley on an incessant loop) will hit Candler Park for a day of music and fun, complete with various sports, an artist's market, a 5k run and a corn hole tournament.

Who's playing, you ask? The music lineup consists of locals Gringo Star and Soulphonics and Ruby Velle, as well as the legendary Wailers and the less legendary Better Than Ezra. Should be "Good". Ah-wah-ow.

Admission to the Fest is free, but proceeds from the stuff you gotta buy go to the Candler Park Neighborhood Association.

Isn't it interesting that Candler Park is a city-owned property, yet only the Candler Park Neighborhood Association profits from these events?!
