Azure Ray to release first new album since 2003

Tiny Mix Tapes reports that Azure Ray, the onetime Georgia duo of Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink, are set to release their first collection of new material in seven years this September.

Drawing Down the Moon will feature the production talents of one Eric Bachmann (of Crooked Fingers and Archers of Loaf), another former (and, word has it, present) resident of Athens. The album will also feature cameos by Andy LeMaster and Liz Durrett.

Drawing Down the Moon will come out on Saddle Creek, which apparently still exists. Remember college? Above, the video for "New Resolution" from their last LP, Hold On Love.
