UPDATE: Be patient. It takes a few minutes to upload, depending on your connection speed.
F it. I might as well blog as I listen. Stay tuned for updates. These are just first thoughts:
"Feel Me" intro: Nice lil stanky instrumental.
"Daddy Fat Sax": Damn, this shid is jamming: "Let's be clear from the bungee/I write knock-out songs, you spit punchlines for money."
"Turns Me On": I predict this will be the album that will forever silence all talk of Big being the less lyrical of the two (Big and Dre). He's killing it. Backed by some smooth Wurlitzer keys.
"Follow Us": Ends with a short but mean verse from the DF poet du jour, Big Rube.
"Shutterbugg": This is still gonna be the club-knocker for summer ’10 — as soon as these DJs get hip and start playing it. Where y'all at?
"General Patton": Bombastic beat as he goes in on those still hating on the South. "As one-half of OutKast re-turns like Ghost of Christmas Past..." Ha, he's killing it lyrically. Big Rube spits on the end again.
"Tangerine" feat. Khujo: Here's Big in classic Cadillac mack form. "I'm the type that sends yo' baby mama out for food."
"Hustle Blood": He slows it down (the beat, not the flow) to get introspective. Funky breakdown/bridge in the middle. Think he's talking about what it's like for a hustler to settle down with his main squeeze.
3 people apparently love handing over an extra 40% in fees for nothing in return…
Dang. I thought they would name some actual headliners.
Forgot to mention that Iggy did a stellar show @ the Agora in the spring…
Their fees were onerous, to say the least. $16 per ticket for "convenience," and it's…
That poster is for the Iggy Pop show on March 11 1983 @ 688 club…
oh sweet: just who i was waiting to get announced!
