Next month, Elephant 6 mainstay Julian Koster will take his Music Tapes project on the road to three cities - New York, Philadelphia, and Boston - to perform intimate witching hour concerts for people in their bedrooms. This is true, and somewhat creepy, but mostly pretty cool.
From the Merge press release:
Lucky hosts will be visited at the bedtime hour by the most lulling of Music Tapes songs, by the sounds of the glowing and enchanting "Ghost Orchestra," Singing Saws, Stories, and so forth...Sleep over gatherings are accepted and even encouraged, although the lullabies will be absolutely delighted to regale audiences of only one. Locations of the lullaby events will be closed, and will not be announced to the general public, though you are heartily encouraged to make use of whatever means you wish to make new friends and gather.
Weird. Quaint! If you live in the area of one of those three cities and want Julian Koster holding his singing saw over your face while you drift off into slumber land wearing your little night cap, send an email to email@example.com. That's right, you too can play host to a bunch of eccentric hipsters who want to play your ass to sleep. This is so fun! But be convincing in your missive, because "there will be very few slots available so the first and most warm invitations will have to be chosen."
ooooohhhh, I'm so excited!! I can't wait to see them together!
come on man you know you got a bromance. you probably still rock that OutKast…
Yes, 14 is the correct answer. I'll pass your info along to the group's manager,…
That was January of 2007, and they are 21 now, so I'm guessing 14?
