In the Biz / Spin Cycle Sample local producers, DJs at the Atlanta SoundCloud Meet Up this Thurs.

Putting the mix in mixer, Dynamite Entertainment Group and the good guys at the Sound Table will host a DJ competition and a producer showcase, as part of the Global SoundCloud Meet Up day on Thursday.
SoundCloud is a web-based music sharing service that allows users to legally upload tracks, mixes, and mashups to send to friends. The site has garnered lots of support from bedroom DJs and up-and-coming mix masters for its ease-of-use and quality of sound.
The deadline for submitting your work has passed but the event is open to the public (RSVP here), and best of all, has no cover charge.
Check out the group's SoundCloud page for more details and to sample over a dozen mixes already submitted for competition.

For Immediate Release: Atlanta Soundcloud Users Unite for Global Soundcloud Meetup Day, July 29th.
Atlanta, Georgia July 21, 2010 — Atlanta Soundclouders unite for the Global Soundcloud Meetup Day on July 29th, 2010. Dynamite Entertainment Group and The Sound Table will be hosting the event and holding a DJ mix competition and Producer Showcase. “We’re hoping to unite not only the DJ’s and Producers from all genres but also as many promoters, club managers, etc. for a chance to exchange ideas, ask questions, give answers, or simply meet new artists and people working with and around audio in the Atlanta area”, says DEG’s Founder/owner Luis Villamizar.DJ’s/ Producers can submit their mixes and original productions via the groups Soundcloud page. Two Producers will be chosen by a panel of judges and have their original tracks played as part of the Producers Showcase. Here they will have the opportunity to have feedback from professionals in audio. Three DJ’s will also be selected to perform at the party following the meet up which is open to all music lovers. All forms of electronic music will be accepted and the deadline has been extended to Sunday, July 25th, 2010.
