Dirty South originator Coool Breeze plays The 10 High

Posted by Chad Radford on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 10:12 AM

Old school ('90s) Atlanta rapper and first generation Dungeon Family cohort Coool Breeze (aka Freddy Calhoun) plays the 10 High tonight. As the legend goes he's the guy who coined the term "dirty south," and can be heard rapping on the track of the same name on Goodie Mob's '95 album, Soul Food.

This show is part of Killer and the Savage's Word Up Wednesday weekly residency. Nappy Roots are playing next week (Aug. 18), and OJ Da Juiceman plays the week after (Aug. 25).

$5. 9 p.m. The 10 High, 816 N. Highland Ave. 404-873-3607.
