Sa-Roc presents Supernova: A Prelude to a Journey

I'm loving this MC right now. Something about her monotone voice and metaphysical flow awakens the god in me.

Since moving to Atlanta, the D.C.-bred Sa-Roc has hooked up with DJ Sol Messiah, who produced tracks on her new mixtape, alongside a couple you'll recognize as Jay Electronica beats.

The 10-song Supernova: A Prelude to a Journey is just that, the prelude to Sa-Roc's full-length Journey of the Star Seed. She calls it elevator music; get it? No really, go get it:

Here's an earlier version of one remixed song, "Valley of the Queen," from the project:

Pop the hood for complete tracklist:

1) "Allstars"
2) "Valley of the Queen" remix
3) "The Sermon"
4) "Dark Matterz"
5) "Sound Power"
6) "Star Dust"
7) "7 Circuits"
8) "Light Beam"
9) "Exhibit She"
10) "Supernova"

No doubt, i like her too. I hear a lot of similarities between her and Divinity/Diviroxx from Datbu. They could have easily been the first ladies of the Dungeon Family. Sa-Roc and Sol Messiah pair-up well musically so, I'ma check this one out even though i don't like listening to a recording artist's mix-tape. She doesn't release a shitload of em like a lot of my friends do.
