Promoter/dj/producer collective Atlanta Dubstep has remained committed to Britain's monster of a 21st century import, both nominally and on dance floors. The crew tried their damndest to bring remixer/producer Loefah earlier this year, although his arrival stateside was blocked by visa issues. This Saturday, the group tries again with Ginz, best known for making hits with Joker, another of the genre's most respected artists.
Graveyard Tavern, a regular haunt for fans of Atlanta Dubstep, hosts the party, but the music has trickled into a few more corners around town. El Bar owner Rob Wonder's last mixtape was clearly influenced by the wobble-wobble, and the sounds have infiltrated the booth at MJQ (although I once heard one of that club's longtime house/disco dj's call dubstep "the most boring abortion of music ever.") If you're a new listener to the genre, and to the party, catch some pointers from P.SO's hilarious video below...

actually, dubstep is not played at MJQ unless booked by Caleb Gauge.
the other wobble DJ nights that were at that venue got the ax by mgmt.
also, Robbie W owns El Bar, not El Myr.
Either way, big up ATL Dubstep.
