Black Lips set to rock the high seas on Bruise Cruise

Posted by Gabe Vodicka on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 4:24 PM

It's not happening until next February, but tickets are on sale now for the Bruise Cruise, a "3 Day Tropical Rock'n'Roll Vacation" that will take attendees aboard a cruise ship from Miami to Nassau and back. Among the bands set to perform atop the deck of the Carnival Imagination are Atlanta's Black Lips, Brooklyn's Vivian Girls, Austin's Strange Boys and San Francisco's Oh Sees and Ty Segall. It's a veritable who's who of modern heeeepsterism, and on a boat, at that. What? My head hurts. Anyway, tickets cost upwards of 500 bucks and are limited to the first 400 buyers. So get on it, rich boys and girls. And if you're not rich, don't worry: there's a "cruise now, pay later" option that'll let you pay a deposit up front and the rest later. Except, you can't actually cruise until you pay the whole thing. Meh. Semantics.
