Chunklet puts your indie cred. to the test

Posted by Chad Radford on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 4:00 PM

Chunklet Magazine publisher Henry Owings took time out of his busy day of publishing to answer 5 questions about his forthcoming book, Indie Cred. Test.

Chad Radford: Tell me about this war on cool of which you speak?
Henry Owings: I'd say it more resembles the War on Drugs only this time Nancy Reagan has nukes.

How does a Kickstarter campaign work?
Mick Mars starts with a whammy bar dive bomb on the D string, repeats on A, then the low E. Sounds just like a real goddamn motorcycle.

Will there be an actual test or some way to gauge your level of cred or like the Blue Book value of your worth that comes with The Indie Cred Test book?
They must bribe the right person (e.g. myself). That's how the world of cool "really" works. Duh. But in the end, everyone will most likely fail.

Do you have any favorite essays or are there any pieces of writing in the book that really stand out for you?
Let's be honest, all my stuff is pretty stellar. As always. Some of the other guy's stuff is okay, but nothing worth publishing for sure.

Has Paste magazine made a donation yet?
Yes, but it wasn't their talentless head placed on the end of a stake, so we sent it back.
