If you've never heard of Noel Stephen & the Darlings, you're not alone. But you'd be doing yourself a favor to head over to WonderRoot this Friday to catch the band's playful, catchy, baroque pop in person. It's a sort of knowingly clever but vastly unpretentious music that's similar to old Jonathan Richman or current Andrew Bird, with a definite touch of Rufus Wainwright theatricality. It's pretty good, is what I'm saying. There's the flyer. Thank you, goodnight.
