After months of speculation, waiting around for city inspectors to show up and give the okay, acquiring the proper permits and test runs of the stage and sound system the grand re-opening of the Royal Peacock is finally upon us and slated for Tues., Sept. 28.
An opening reception will begin at 6 p.m. and will be rounded out with music by a handful of the club’s old school performers, including Tommy Brown, Chick Willis, Sandra Hall, Eddie Sawyer and Hermon Hitson, along with William Guest of the Pips, Lotsa Poppa, Roy Lee Johnson, Gorgeous George, the Tams, William Bell and more, all fronting the house band for the evening, the Bretheren.
More details will be announced as they come in, but for the time being, Love Radio is on top of the situation.
The Royal Peacock is located at 186 Auburn Ave.
