Bassnectar remixes Mighty High Coup, reaches iTunes top ten

Posted By on Fri, Oct 22, 2010 at 6:09 PM

Atlanta MCs Mr. SOS, Ricky Raw and A-Bomb - aka Mighty High Coup - concocted one catchy slab of low end funk with their recent "808s," but hold up: San Francisco DJ/producer/frat-hippie icon Bassnectar has done gone and made it even funkier. Electro and hip-hop nerds will rejoice in the grimy interpretation, which nods to the current dubstep craze while retaining the original's backpacky underground steez. This shit is poppin'! It's also sellin' like digital hotcakes - Bassnectar's "808 Track" is number five on the iTunes electronic chart.

Also, while I have your attention: ever noticed that 808 is exactly twice as much as 404? Think on that, hotshot.
