Word had spread that the trailer containing pretty much all of the band Hawks musical equipment, along with a ton of merchandise, was stolen from in front of the house where vocalist Mike Keenan and drummer Shane Patrick live on Park Ave. near Oakland Cemetery.
Sometime late in the evening on Wed., Nov. 10, thieves smashed the padlock, pictured above in Keenan's hand, off of the trailer hitch on his car and hauled it away. It's a big trailer and the perps would have needed a vehicle big enough to tow it away.
Bottom line: It looks like the band lost about $8,000-$10,000 total. Insurance covers the trailer, but not what was inside, and that hurts. Benefits and vigilante street justice teams are coming together today, so check back here for a Paypal link and more information as it becomes available.

ALSO, All my hardware. 2 snare stands, 2 cymbals boom stands, hi-hat stand, and throne. All Tama gear. PLUS, my carpet...it looks like a zebra that drank too much and has cig burns all over it. shit....
Why did you leave all your equipment outside....unprotected?? this is ATLANTA!! Did you forget about CRIMINALS??? Next time unload before getting drunk and passing out.
If you want to park the trailer in front of the house, you have to live somewhere like Cherokee county. It sucks being so far OTP but you can grow weed in the backyard.
Good luck, guys.
I feel bad for these guys.. but on a unrelated note.. they should prob change the name of their band for SEO reasons..kinda like The-Dream
here's a more complete/more detailed list on craigslist:

I feel for your loss guys, being a fellow musician and one that does not make any money. I agree with yeti, Its ATL. I live OTP and If I have a gig downtown My band's and my gear never leave my site until its all accounted for a packed up. Then its straight to a safe place away from downtown and unloaded as soon as were back. Ill keep an I out guys. Wait for beers and bongs after you got your shit taken care of!
I appreciate the love guys, but to those who think we were reckless and/or drunk, this is not the case. It isn't the safest place in the world, but damn it, ATL is my home. The gear was locked in the trailer, locked to the car, and not left there very many days, parked directly in front of our door on the street. I do understand the behavior you talk of, and have been reckless in the past, like we all have. Though, in this instance we were victim to a couple of asswipes who got us.
Sincerely,
Don't need dad's advice
Have some sympathy
@ Shane,
People are such fucking dildos. Like you guys were not already kicking yourself in the ass about it. We left our shit in Peoplestown for two days one time like dumbasses. Luckily we didnt get anything stolen. These kind of things happen and it sucks. To those who want to rub it in, have a nice life in Lawrenceville you fucking dweebs. It could always be worse. I got friends in a band in Dallas. They say that every band out there gets their trailer stolen about once a year. People use them for construction. But anyways, keep up the good fight. You guys kick ass.
@iblamesummers -- it's actually spelled "KAOSS Pad." It's a touch-based effects controller made by Roland. Google it; they're pretty neat.
