Lyonnais 'Transitive Properties of Youth'

Posted By on Mon, Dec 6, 2010 at 12:09 PM

Lyonnais has been kind enough to offer up the first track from its forthcoming LP, Want For Wish For Nowhere, titled "Transitive Properties of Youth."

The album is massive, quietly melodic, psychedelic and abstract, while sticking to a palette of dark and experimental pop strategies. "Transitive Properties of Youth" offers just a taste of what the album has to offer. When it will finally see the light of day remains to be seen as the group is still on the look out for a label to release it.

In the meantime, Lyonnais has put together a short run of the album on cassette to have something to show for the last year’s efforts, and something to sell on a quick stint of shows in the New York area. The reason for this northern trek is to hit up Greenwood Electronics, a new studio in Brooklyn that’s owned by Ryan Rasheed (Prefuse 73, LebLaze) and Brad Hurst (Mexcellent), to record yet another new album's worth of material.
