VIDEO R.E.M. unveils 'trailer' for new album

This whole album trailer thing is a new and weird development, but I guess it makes some kind of YouTube sense. Here's a sneak peek at Collapse Into Now, the "expansive" new album from R.E.M. Boy, if this doesn't fill me with...ambivalence, I guess? Certain moments hint at classic R.E.M. coolness (and new, resurgent Accelerate R.E.M. badassness), but other, less promising bits make me wonder if we might not have another Reveal on our hands (so ... much ... synth ... can't ... concentrate). We'll see when the album drops March 8. Though I reckon these ol' Georgia boys can pretty much do whatever they want at this point.
