With all the diversity that Atlanta's music scene has to offer, it gets kind of hard to cover it all and not miss out on what new act is generating buzz at any given moment. Mix that in with the many stellar national artists that pass through town and well, you get the picture. So, we're going a step further and featuring a song a day from local artists and touring acts that are playing soon.

Today's first song is by Randy Garcia called "The year 100,000" from the upcoming album Resurgens due for release in early February 2011.

From R_Garcia:

"This song was written as a response to the recent turmoil in American politics. I first programmed the sequence - then I layered guitars, bass, drums and vocals (in that order) so all of the live instruments [are] me."
