Clan Destined releases Self-Titled CD Sat. at 529

A solid cross-section of the cerebral side of Atlanta’s underground hip-hop scene will be out in full-force Sat., Jan. 22 when Clan Destined celebrates the release of their latest CD, Self-Titled. DT and Amdex craft smooth and conceptually driven beats and rhymes, catering to a scene that’s eager to bring intelligence and integrity back to the game. DJ Nervex gets the party started, followed by a screening of A Story Never Told. A roundtable of producers, including Illastrate, Floyd the Locsmif, Baka and Conspiracy will take turns showing off some beats as well.

Take a peek at the new cover art (above) that comes to us courtesy of Flux of Binkis Recs.

DT from Clan Destined tells a little more about the connection between the film, A Story Never Told, last year's mixtape of the same name, and the new album:

"The film basically chronicles a story about Yamin (Amdex) making an attempt to go through mainstream channels to try and get bigger exposure for our project through a famous DJ. Hi-jinks ensue and the DJ totally wrecks our music with his "street" mixtape. The point of the film is that we don't need the industry and we can do it on our own. Self-Titled stems from the idea that we title ourselves and we determine our own impact. The new album shows the natural progression from the mixtape and the film which go together. The new album is the next chapter in a sense."
