Shepherds is a new and pleasantly abrasive-sounding post-punk/soul trio fronted by singer/guitarist Jonathan Merenivitch, whom you may also recognize from local soul punk outfit Tendaberry, and as the rhythm guitarist with Janelle Monae's ArchOrchestra). Bassist Peter Cauthorn (Mood Rings) and drummer Adrian Switon fill out the line up.

Today they're offering up two new songs from Shepherd's forthcoming Pink House Tapes EP, Holy Stain, which should arrive sometime in March. In the meantime, these two numbers illustrate the kinds of propulsive rhythms and jagged pop tones that they have in store.

"The Last Song"

"Surfa"
