Stream new Drive-By Truckers album tonight

Tonight at 8 P.M., the Drive-By Truckers will host a "World Premiere Listening Party" for the new LP Go-Go Boots on the band's Livestream page (you can also stream it above). Having heard the record (look for my review in next week's CL), I can say with some authority that it's the band's strongest offering in some time. Go-Go Boots finds DBT finally fully exploring the Muscle Shoals soul influence that they've previously only hinted at. It's good.

In other DBT news, the band will play new single "Everybody Needs Love" on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" next Tuesday, February 15 - which, coincidentally, is the same date Go-Go Boots will be officially released. And if you purchase the record at an independent music retailer, expect a little bonus gift in the form of an exclusive EP. It's said to contain live versions of some of the group's recent material as well as a cover of Vic Chesnutt's "When I Ran Off and Left Her." Sweet jams.
