Thieves have struck another local band, this time it’s the Clap. The band had parked their van in a parking deck for the lofts at Freedom Pkwy and Boulevard. The gear was stowed inside the van, behind locked doors.

?
On Thursday night, thieves broke the lock and made off with pretty much everything.

?
Singer and guitarist Josh Hughes lost both of his guitars, and is still taking an inventory of everything else was that was stolen. Sam Wagstaff’s keyboard was stolen as well.

?
Drummer Tyler Walters has a Facebook post up with a short list of the items that they know were stolen, which includes the following:

?

  • Danelectro 12 string - black body with a white pick guard in a hard case.
  • K guitar - vintage sunburst with paper supporting the bridge at the bottom in a coffin case.
  • Alesis QS 6.1 Keyboard black with white keys in a brown case that is falling apart.
  • Tan colored snare in a black case. The head says “Slow Down Kid” on it.
  • Cymbal bag with Zildjian A-series cymbals - 22 inch ride, 17 inch crash, 13 inch hi-hat top and bottom.

?
According to Josh it’s all stuff that has dents, tape in weird places and various other marks that they can identify. Stay tuned for more information, including photos, as they become available.
