Back Pockets release Hello Dandelion at the Big House

The Back Pockets are taking over the Big House (just around the corner from the Yaarab Shriners temple) on Ponce tonight. Word has it that they're decorating the whole place to look like a wedding. Sounds like their M.O.

This show is the CD release party for their third album, Hello Dandelion, and it shows off a marked step up for the group on all fronts.

Earlier this week Double Phantom digital released the Bulla EP, previewing three songs form the new album. And while the infectious new version of "Australia" is the obvious standout of the bunch, "American Dream" isn't too far behind with that Stewart Copeland-esque beat that kicks it all off.

Athens' Bubbly Mommy Gun opens the show. Carnivores close it down.

$5 is the suggested donation at the door and the music starts up around 9 p.m. supposedly. The Big House. 368 Ponce de Leon Ave.
