Three things to do tonight (Wed., March. 2)

Posted By on Wed, Mar 2, 2011 at 2:24 PM

There are three pretty fantastic shows going on around town tonight. First and foremost, Señor Kaos has been honing his craft in the Atlanta underground scene since the late '90s, preparing to live up to the name of his latest mixtape, The Most Interesting MC in the World. Tonight at 529 a parade of local hip-hop staples including Binkis Recs, Clan Destined, Boog Brown, Dillon, 4-Ize and DJ Deliver — all of whom appeared on Kaos' mixtape — will be in the building playing their parts and performing a few solo numbers as well. DJ Dug Boogie spins records before and after the show. $5. 9 p.m.

Also, Adron and friends are playing a set to close out the first night of CL's ATL Short Cuts film festival going on at the Palomar Hotel (866 W. Peachtree St.). It's free and the short films start at 7 p.m.

And finally, A. Grimes plays the Earl with Small Reactions and the North Trolls. It's A. Grimes' final show with bassist Cole Grant. Come bid him farewell. $5. 8:30 p.m.
