From Exile announce NIN EP release date

This morning From Exile announced that they will release their perpetually forthcoming Nine Inch Nails cover EP with a show at the Earl on Sat., May 14.

The group’s frontman/guitarist Eric Guenther and keyboard player John Douglass are currently tracking vocals and mixing the record in their home studio, following a session last week during which they recorded guitars with Emil Werstler (Daath) for a cover of “A Warm Place.”

Scant few glimpses of what the group has in store are posted here and here, and aside from the drums, which were recorded somewhere in Texas by Daath’s drummer Kevin Talley in the summer of 2009, everything for the EP was created/produced/engineered in Guenther’s home.

Another teaser video with a preview of FE's cover of "Ruiner" should be surfacing on Youtube sometime over the next few weeks/months, so keep your eyes peeled.

In the meantime, the video posted above features new, yet untitled song that From Exile played during Ohmpark’s 4th anniversary show at the Earl back in January, and it has nothing to do with Nine Inch Nails whatsoever.
