SMKA Kickstarts Young Scolla's rap game

The busy dudes of SMKA are at again, this time kicking off a project with Detroit MC, Young Scolla. A little over a month ago, they launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money in order to produce and release an independent album for the rapper. They reached their goal — getting $4,000 from 105 different backers. Apparently some people still believe in rappers, even during a recession.

So far, there are three album trailers (shot by Dustin Chambers) that will feature three different songs off of Young Scolla Meets SMKA, which they'll be releasing periodically until the Kickstarter campaign ends on March 12th. The videos feature Scolla as he makes his rounds in Atlanta.
