Deerhunter vocalist and guitarist Bradford Cox returned to his roots at Chattahoochee Technical College to shoot the upcoming music video for “Memory Boy” from Halcyon Digest. Cox, a graduate of Chatt Tech, asked his former professor and head of the television production program, Ian Feinberg, for assistance on shooting the video. Cox drew inspiration for the video mostly from David Bowie’s “Be My Wife.” Both videos are filled with atmosphere, and you won’t see any scantily clad girls or liquor flowing, only a man and his guitar rocking like it’s 1977. Cox gave me a behind-the-scenes look at making the video and sat down to answer a few questions about life and his connection to Chatt Tech.
